About Taylor
I believe therapy can be a place to slow down, reconnect with yourself, and better understand what you need. My experiences with growth, transition, and healing have shaped how I show up as a counselor. I know change doesn’t always happen by simply thinking our way through a problem. Sometimes we need space to notice what is happening in our bodies, reconnect with our values, spend time in nature, or experience something in a new way.
I strive to create a warm, collaborative, and judgment-free space where you can show up as your whole self. I see you as the expert on your own experience, and my role is to walk alongside you as you explore what is working, what is no longer serving you, and what you want your life to look like moving forward. We will work at a pace that feels supportive while also creating opportunities for meaningful growth.
Outside of counseling, I feel most restored when I am outside and moving—whether that means hiking, skiing, climbing, mountain biking, gardening, spending time with my dog/cat, horseback riding, or simply spending quiet time in nature. I also enjoy creative and contemplative practices such as art, mindfulness, yoga, and meditation. These experiences shape how I think about healing and help me bring a more experiential, holistic perspective to my work.

Taylor’s Approach to Care
My approach is integrative and grounded in person-centered, somatic, CBT, ACT, and IFS-informed practices. I believe no single approach works for everyone, so I collaborate with each client to find what feels most useful and meaningful for them.
I incorporate somatic practices to help clients notice the connection between their thoughts, emotions, and bodies. When we are stressed or overwhelmed, our bodies often communicate things before we have words for them. Learning to recognize these signals can help us develop greater emotional awareness, regulation, and self-compassion.
I also enjoy incorporating nature-based and experiential approaches into counseling when appropriate. Nature can offer a different environment for reflection, grounding, and exploration, and sometimes stepping outside of the traditional therapy room can help us see ourselves and our experiences differently. My experience working in adventure therapy has taught me how intentional movement, outdoor experiences, and appropriately challenging activities can create opportunities for clients to build confidence, practice new skills, and connect with themselves and others in meaningful ways.
My experience in community mental health has also shaped the way I understand counseling. Working with individuals and families in community settings has given me experience supporting people through a wide range of challenges and circumstances. It has reinforced my belief that effective therapy must consider the whole person, including their relationships, environment, community, culture, and access to resources.
I work collaboratively and believe therapy should be a place where you have choice and agency. Whether you are navigating anxiety, a major life transition, relationship challenges, self-doubt, or simply feeling disconnected from yourself, we can work together to better understand what is underneath the struggle and identify ways forward that feel authentic to you.
Taylor’s education and experience
I hold a Master of Science in Counseling from Prescott College, with a focus in Adventure-Based Counseling and a somatic emphasis. My clinical and professional experience includes adventure therapy, community mental health, and college counseling. Through these experiences, I have worked with individuals navigating anxiety, relationships, life transitions, emotional regulation, self-esteem, trauma-related concerns, and other challenges.
My training includes individual counseling, adventure-based counseling, nature-based practices, somatic approaches, CBT, ACT, IFS-informed practices, mindfulness, and experiential interventions. I am particularly interested in counseling approaches that help clients move beyond talking about change and instead experience and practice change in ways that feel meaningful to them.
